Receptionist (Temporary)

Manchester, NH

We are currently looking for a temporary Receptionist to help cover a maternity leave beginning December 1, 2024 .  In this position you will act as a  first point of contact by phone as well as meet and greet all members, parents, visitors and others to the Union St. Clubhouse and ensure proper check-in and check-out procedures are followed. Assist with general clerical and administrative tasks.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Provide front desk coverage between the hours of 2:00 pm- 8:00 pm, or as needed, on a daily basis.  Greet members and parents as they enter the building and ensure that they follow proper check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Greet parents and assist with member pick-up and distribute membership and program information and arranging for Club tours as necessary.
  • Answer the telephone and direct calls to the appropriate extension. When necessary provide information regarding the daily Club program.
  • Perform general clerical and administrative tasks and ensure the front desk is maintained in an orderly and professional manner at all times.
  • Serve as a positive role model to the members to inspire them to realize their full potential.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  •  High School diploma or equivalent required and Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting or related discipline preferred and minimum of 1 years’ experience in administrative support preferably in a childcare setting preferred. Experience may be substituted for a lesser educational degree.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills and ability to handle cash receipts and deposits.
  • Knowledge of general business tasks and procedures including answering phones and dealing with the public.
  • Ability to pass background screening including:  criminal background screening and drug screening.
  • Consistently display strong communication and interpersonal skills in a customer and employee friendly approach.
  • Ability to consistently remain calm, focused and professional in a large group and/or high stress situation caused by conflict or difficult members or parents.
